The Peaks
We name each of the houses that we oversee for a different mountain peak in the state for which the street is named. These peaks represent the never-ending struggle and constant climb that individuals with disabilities encounter every day.
Raising the Standard
Too many waiver-funded residential settings offer the bare minimum — outdated facilities, institutional layouts, and little consideration for the people who actually live there. Maverick Living exists to change that.
Our home is designed and built to the same standard you would expect from any quality residential construction — not the lowest common denominator of compliance. Real kitchens. Private bedrooms. Common spaces that feel like home. We believe better housing leads to better outcomes.
Tiered Independence
Housing is individualized based on need, for individuals who are just moving out for the first time to those who want to live on their own.
Mountain Pass
Individuals who are moving out after living with their parents for the first time each have their own ensuite bathroom with laundry, rooms are soundproof, with an individual oven and fridge. There is a shared living room, but more support for living with others.
Ridge
This level of support is when two individuals may share a bathroom and laundry room and the common areas are more shared space. This is ideal for someone who wants to live with a roommate without support one day. Typical for someone who is 2–3 years away from living on their own.
Summit
The highest level of independence, this is where an individual lives almost completely independently and might just have check-ins daily with a caregiver, or receives respite services.
